Steger School District 194 | 2026 - 2027 Pre Calendar

The first day of school for students is August 19, 2026.

Spring Break is scheduled from March 29, 2027 through April 2, 2027. School resumes on April 5, 2027.

Christmas Break begins on December 21, 2026 and continues through January 1, 2027.

Winter Break is observed from December 21, 2026 to January 1, 2027. Students return to school on January 4, 2027.

Thanksgiving (Fall Break) is scheduled from November 23–27, 2026.

The last day of school is May 27, 2027. AM and PM students will attend together.

Labor Day is observed on September 7, 2026, and there is no school.

Columbus Day is observed on October 12, 2026, and schools are closed.

Election Day is November 3, 2026, and there is no school.

Veterans Day is observed on November 11, 2026.

Martin Luther King Jr. Day is observed on January 18, 2027, and there is no school.

Presidents Day falls on February 15, 2027, and schools are closed.

Good Friday is observed on March 26, 2027, and there is no school.

Memorial Day is observed on May 31, 2027, and there is no school.

Full Parent-Teacher Conferences are scheduled for October 22-23, 2026. There is no student attendance on both days.

Report Cards are issued on November 20, 2026 and March 5, 2027.

Yes. May 28, 2027 is designated as an Emergency Day, and June 1-4, 2027 are reserved as Emergency Days if needed.
