Pocono Mountain School District PMSD Calendar 26-27

The first day of school for students in the Pocono Mountain School District for the 2026-2027 school year is August 31, 2026.

Spring Break (Spring Recess) is scheduled for March 25-26 and March 29, 2027. Schools will be closed during these dates.

Christmas Break begins with a 3-hour student early dismissal on December 23, 2026. Winter Recess continues from December 24, 2026, through January 1, 2027.

Winter Break runs from December 24, 2026, to January 1, 2027. Students return after the recess according to the district calendar.

Thanksgiving Break is observed from November 26 through November 30, 2026. Schools are closed throughout the holiday period.

The tentative last day of school for students is June 3, 2027, with a 3-hour early dismissal.

Teacher orientation is held on August 24, 2026. Teacher in-service days are scheduled for August 25-27, 2026 before students begin classes.

Schools are closed for the Labor Day holiday on September 4 and September 7, 2026.

Schools are closed for Martin Luther King Jr. Day on January 18, 2027.

Schools are closed for Presidents' Day on February 15, 2027.

Memorial Day is observed on May 31, 2027, and schools are closed.

Parent-Teacher Conferences are scheduled on November 23 and November 24, 2026. Schools are closed for students on both days.

Act 80 Days are scheduled on September 23, October 9, November 23-25, December 9, January 6, February 3 & 12, March 3, and May 5, 2027. Several of these days include school closures or early dismissals.

The tentative end of the first marking period is November 4, 2026.

The tentative end of the second marking period is January 21, 2027.

The tentative end of the third marking period is March 31, 2027.
