Garfield Heights City School District CSD Calendar 26-27

The first day of school for students in Grades 1-12 is August 19, 2026. Pre-K and Kindergarten students begin on August 24 and August 25, 2026, based on last name.

Spring Break begins on March 25, 2027 and continues through April 2, 2027. Classes resume on April 5, 2027.

Christmas Break is part of the district's Winter Break, which runs from December 21, 2026, through January 1, 2027.

Winter Break is scheduled from December 21, 2026, to January 1, 2027. Students return to school after the break in early January 2027.

Thanksgiving Break is observed on November 26-27, 2026. In addition, November 25, 2026 is a Teacher Day with no school for students.

The last day of school for students is May 27, 2027. The following day, May 28, 2027, is a Professional Development Day for staff.

Labor Day is observed on September 7, 2026, and there is no school for students.

NEOEA Day is scheduled for October 9, 2026. There is no school for students on this day.

Parent-Teacher Conferences are scheduled for November 12, 2026 (4:00-7:00 PM), November 13, 2026 (K-5, no school), and January 28, 2027 (4:00-7:00 PM).

The first semester ends on January 15, 2027, which is also a Professional Development Day and the end of Quarter 2.

Martin Luther King Jr. Day is observed on January 18, 2027. There is no school on this holiday.

Presidents' Day is observed on February 15, 2027. Students do not attend school on this day.

Quarter 3 ends on March 24, 2027.

Wellness Day is scheduled for April 30, 2027.

Professional Development or staff-only days include August 17-18, October 12, November 3, January 15, March 25, and May 28, 2027. Some of these dates are no-school days for students.
