WAYNE-WESTLAND COMMUNITY SCHOOLS Calendar 2026–2027 — important dates and answers.
The first day of classes for Wayne-Westland Community Schools is Tuesday, August 25, 2026. It will be a half day for Young 5s through 12th-grade students.
There will be no school on Friday, September 4, 2026, and Monday, September 7, 2026, for Labor Day recess.
Thanksgiving recess will be from Wednesday, November 25 through Friday, November 27, 2026.
Christmas break is included in the district's winter recess, which will run from Monday, December 21, 2026, through Friday, January 1, 2027.
Winter recess will begin on Monday, December 21, 2026, and continue through Friday, January 1, 2027.
Wayne-Westland Community Schools will be closed on Monday, January 18, 2027, for Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day.
Mid-winter recess will be from Monday, February 15 through Friday, February 19, 2027.
