River Trails School District 26 SD Calendar 26-27

The first day of school for students in Grades 1-8 is August 19, 2026. Kindergarten begins on August 20, 2026, and Pre-K starts on August 21, 2026.

Spring Break is scheduled from March 22 through March 26, 2027. Classes resume on March 29, 2027.

Christmas Break is part of the district's Winter Break, which begins on December 21, 2026 and continues through January 4, 2027.

Winter Break runs from December 21, 2026, through January 4, 2027. Students return to classes on January 5, 2027.

Thanksgiving Break is observed from November 25 through November 27, 2026. There is also a Parent-Teacher Conference on November 2 and a Non-Attendance Day on November 3, 2026.

The tentative last day of school is May 28, 2027, with an early release. If emergency days are used, the last day of school will be June 7, 2027.

Institute Days are scheduled for August 17-18, 2026, January 4, 2027, and April 23, 2027. Students do not attend school on these dates.

Parent-Teacher Conferences are held on November 2, 2026 and April 22, 2027. Both are No Student Attendance days.

The first trimester ends on November 13, 2026.

The second trimester ends on February 26, 2027.

Yes. The district schedules Late Arrival every Thursday throughout most of the school year, beginning in September 2026 and continuing through May 2027, except during holidays and scheduled breaks.
