Herscher Community Unit School District No. 2 CUSD 2 Calendar

The first day of student attendance for the 2026-2027 school year in Herscher Community Unit School District No. 2 is August 11, 2026.

Spring Break is scheduled from March 22 through March 26, 2027. There is also no school on March 29, 2027 for Easter Monday.

Christmas Break begins on December 21, 2026 and continues through January 1, 2027. Students return to school on January 5, 2027.

Winter Break coincides with the district's Christmas Break and runs from December 21, 2026, through January 1, 2027.

Thanksgiving Break is scheduled for November 25-27, 2026.

If no emergency days are used, the last day of school is May 20, 2027. The last student day may be extended through May 26, 2027 if emergency days are used.

There is no school on September 7, 2026 in observance of Labor Day.

Parent-Teacher Conferences are scheduled for the evening of October 7, 2026. There is also no school on October 8, 2026 for Teacher Institute and Parent-Teacher Conferences.

The first quarter for PreK-8 ends on October 9, 2026, and there is no school on that day.

School resumes for students on January 5, 2027, following the Teachers Institute Day on January 4.

There is no school on January 18, 2027 in observance of Martin Luther King Jr.'s Birthday.

Teachers Institute Days are scheduled on August 10, 2026, January 4, 2027, February 15, 2027, and April 23, 2027. Students do not attend school on these dates.

The second semester for grades 9-12 and the fourth quarter for PreK-8 end on May 20, 2027.

Herscher High School Graduation is scheduled for May 16, 2027, at 5:00 p.m.
