Channahon School Dist #17 SD 17 Calendar 26-27

The first day of school for students in Grades K-8 is August 19, 2026. The first day for Little Learners is August 20, 2026.

Spring Break is scheduled from March 26 through April 2, 2027. Classes resume on April 5, 2027.

Christmas Break is observed during the district's Winter Break, which runs from December 21, 2026, through January 1, 2027.

Winter Break begins on December 21, 2026 and ends on January 1, 2027. Students return to school on January 5, 2027.

Thanksgiving Break is scheduled from November 24 through November 27, 2026.

The last student attendance day is May 28, 2027, with an early dismissal, unless emergency or snow days require adjustments.

Teacher Institute days with no student attendance are August 17-18, 2026, October 9, 2026, January 4, 2027, and June 1, 2027.

Labor Day is observed on September 7, 2026, and there is no school.

There is no school on January 18, 2027, in observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day.

Presidents Day is observed on February 15, 2027, and schools are closed.

Parent-Teacher Conferences are scheduled for November 23, 2026, March 4, 2027, and March 5, 2027.

Memorial Day is observed on May 31, 2027, and there is no school.

Students return to school on January 5, 2027, after Winter Break ends.

School resumes on April 5, 2027, following Spring Break.
